Ingredients:
- 2 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour (with xanthan gum included)
- 1 tablespoon instant yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar or honey
- 1 1/2 cups warm waterabout 110°F)
- 2 tablespoons oil or melted unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon cider vinegar or lemon juice
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, combine the gluten-free all-purpose flour, yeast, salt, and sugar. Mix until well combined.
- Add the warm water, olive oil/butter, and cider vinegar/lemon juice to the dry ingredients. Stir using a wooden spoon or a mixer with a paddle attachment until the ingredients are well combined. The dough will be wetter and stickier than traditional wheat bread dough.
- Transfer the dough to a greased 9×5 inch loaf pan and smooth the top with wet hands or a spatula.
- Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for 30 to 60 minutes, or until the dough has risen close to the top of the pan.
- While the dough is rising, preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Once the dough has risen, bake in the preheated oven for about 35-40 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown on top and sounds hollow when tapped.
- Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Slice and enjoy your fresh homemade gluten-free bread!
